Fat Man Bishop’s opened up in East Peoria last March. I’ve been meaning to go there and recently Deb Rainey told me that they have a fabulous tenderloin special every Thursday.
And so, just like that, Fat Man Bishop’s has become our 27th bar to visit on this 365 tour. Off we go to East Peoria!

Bar Number 27: Fat Man Bishop’s, Thursday, February 5, 2026
Here we are at Fat Man Bishop’s in East Peoria. Let’s go inside and see what’s happening in here.
There’s the bar and we’ll settle in over there at the end of it.
And right on cue, there’s Laura, the pretty and friendly bartender serving up a can of Budweiser. I love it when this happens!
Matt was seated nearby and he’s in town from Buffalo, New York to work on painting the Bob Michel Bridge downtown. Great to meet him!
There’s another shot of the bar in here and as you can see, they have a nice selection of beer and seltzer’s in here!
There’s the quartet of beers in here on tap to choose from.
There’s daily food and drink specials and a large list of martini’s to choose from as well.
They have a dining area just opposite the bar over here. I love the lit-up Blue Moon sign on the wall!
There’s a large game room on the other side of the room.
There’s a pool table in here with dining tables lining one wall and gaming machines on the other side.
I met Aaron and Shea while wandering around taking photos and I had a nice chat with them.
They told me that they’re familiar with the blog and I always love to hear that! It was a pleasure to meet them and we had a fun conversation.
Meanwhile, back at my seat at the bar…
Chef Tommy served up the special of the day…
The tenderloin special served up with chips.
The tenderloin looks amazing and I added a couple of dollops of mustard to it.
This was one tasty tenderloin!
It was crispy on the outside and juicy and flavorful on the inside. The bun was bakery fresh and nicely toasted. A nice tenderloin treat on a Thursday evening!
One last shot in here and we close the books on our 27th night of the new 365 tour!
