Ding, ding, ding! The donation bell has rung once again and this time the donations came in cash!
As you’ll see as you read this blog, Pat and Cindy Spears invited me over to a party at their basement bar and everyone there donated some cash for this bar tour! I want to thank everyone in the Spears family for being so generous and kind!

If you live in or near Peoria, you’ve no doubt spent some time in Jimmy’s Bar, it’s one of Peoria’s most iconic bars and it’s owned and operated by Jimmy Spears.
Well there’s another bar owned by a member of the Spears family but it’s a little more private than Jimmy’s Bar. It’s owned and operated by Jimmy’s brother Pat and Pat’s wife, Cindy. You need an invitation to hang out at this bar, which is called, the P & C Spears Pubhouse and tonight we have an exclusive invitation to hang out there.
So let’s get over there and start our 42nd night of this 365 tour!

Bar Number 42: P & C Spears Pubhouse, Friday, February 20, 2026
I picked up a special cake at Trefzger’s Bakery for this evening’s party and I’ll explain more about it as you scroll down!
Here’s Mike holding the cake. Mike is a member of Lark’s Tongue and he said they have an album coming out soon. You can follow them on facecrack by clicking right here.
There’s our host and hostess for the evening, Pat and Cindy Spears!
And there’s the P & C Spears Pubhouse Bar! It’s very impressive and we’ll take more photos soon, but first…
It’s time for the first beer of the evening. Pat went into bartender mode and served me up a giganzo can of Budweiser!
Here’s the bar in all of its glory!
It’s a classic wooden bar and as you can see from the back bar, it’s well stocked! They even have their own coasters here, very classy!
There’s so many fun and unique items on display here and I got a few photos of a handful of them.
Not only is the bar well-stocked the refrigerator next to it is as well!
I might just move in here!
Here’s everyone at the party so far, from the left: Bobby, Julie, Molly, Pat, Cindy, Jimmy, Mike and Daryl.
Great to see everyone and this was such a nice gathering of fun and lively people!
Larry arrived after I took the group photo, so he got a single shot.
Larry and I have been friends since we went to high school together and it’s great to see him again!
There’s lots of fun and cool things on the walls surrounding the bar including Barney Fife, a Cubs pay phone, a fancy bar sign and some photos from the Spears family albums.
The first is a photo of their Great Grandfather Fitzpatrick and Grandfather Fitzpatrick. The next is their Uncle Bill Spears, the Captain of the ship and the Spears father Joe taken aboard the ship when moving from England to the U.S. And the last one is their father, Joe Spears tending bar at Jimmy’s Bar.
Here’s a line-up of the Spears brothers, from the left: Tom, Bill, Mike, Pat, Jimmy and Bobby.
I think they’ve had practice lining up like this at a police station, but don’t quote me on that!
Pat and Cindy had a wonderful selection of delicious food from Dixon’s Seafood and everything was mouth-watering!
Here’s the Trefzger’s cake I mentioned at the beginning of the post.
The cake reads: “Hey Bobby, here’s your effing Trefzger’s cake. Now shut your big yapper!”
This stems from when I did an anniversary post at Jimmy’s Bar and brought a bakery cake from Schnucks prompting Bobby to say, “Everybody else gets a cake from Trefzger’s and we get this crap from Schnucks!”
That was almost four years ago and everytime I see Bobby, he reminds me of this!
As the cake says, here’s your effing Trefzger’s cake Bobby, now shut your big yapper! As you can see, he enjoyed the cake!
This was such a fun evening and I appreciate Pat and Cindy inviting me over and everyone who showed up!
Later in the evening, Pat and Bobby had a time-honored Spears family contest of seeing who could keep their arms folded the longest. I’m not sure who won, because I had to go and get a beer.
Here’s a final group photo and thanks again to Pat, Cindy and everyone who came to this fun bar celebration! It was a blast!
And mucho thanks for all the generous donations from the Spears family! The beers and food from the next few stops are on them and I truly appreciate it!
And I even got some tips out of it!

The Drinks
I had many cans of Budweiser on this fun evening! I kind of lost count after five or six…or maybe eight, but I can testify that the P & C Spears Pubhouse is a well-stocked bar!
If you have a basement or garage bar and would like to be featured on this bar crawl, send me an email and we’ll make it happen!
Thanks again to Pat and Cindy Spears for a fun evening in their basement bar!
