McAlister’s Deli is a place that’s just a couple blocks away from the MBIP World Headquarters, yet I’ve never eaten there.
All of that changes today as we head there for this week’s Sunday Steering Wheel Meal!

The Sunday Steering Wheel Meal - This Week: Mcalister’s deli
Here’s this week’s online order for McAlister’s Deli. It says it’ll be ready at 6pm, so let’s head on over there and pick up this week’s Steering Wheel Meal.
I parked in a nice secluded spot in the Schnucks parking lot which is right next door to the deli. Okay, let’s go on over and pick up our meal.
There’s McAlister’s Deli, let’s go in and pick up this week’s Steering Wheel Meal.
Wow, there’s quite a line in here. We’ll take a couple photos while we wait for these people to place their orders.
There’s the dining room and a little waiting area over there next to the front counter.
Okay, our order has been picked up, so it’s back to the MBIP Mobile we go.
The radio is tuned to 102.7 Super Hits and it’s currently playing “Life In The Fast Lane,” which is kind of ironic considering we’re sitting here in a parking lot.
We have no fan on, since it’s a little chilly outside and I’ve turned on one of the overhead lights since it’s getting dark out there.
Okay, time to put the steering wheel tray in place for this week’s meal!

The Drink
I got an unsweetened iced tea and it came in a giganzo sized glass. It was okay, it was just iced tea after all.

Course Number One: The Side Dish
I ordered the half sandwich and a side option and I got the Mac and Cheese as the side course and it was really tasty. It had a nice sharp flavor and it was a creamy treat!
We’re off to a great start this week!

Course Number Two: The Main Dish
For the main course, I got the Memphian Sandwich, let’s unwrap it and see what we’ve got here.
Wow, this is huge for a half of a sandwich!
The sandwich has roast beef, ham and melted Provolone cheese on it. I added bacon , mustard and barbecue sauce to my order. I also had them hold the tomato.
This was such a savory and tasty sandwich! There was a ton of meat and the cheese, mustard and barbecue sauce complemented it perfectly.
The roll was toasted and bakery fresh and it was a tasty treat!

Course Number Three: The Dessert
Here’s our dessert, mysteriously hidden in this white, cardboard package. Let’s open it up and see what we’ve got in there.
This is the Peanut Butter Pie and it was absolutely delightful!
The peanut butter was sweet and smooth and it was topped off by a chocolate and vanilla frosting and the crust was chocolate graham cracker. What a tasty and sweet treat!
I highly recommend McAlister’s Deli. We’ll have to come back and try another meal from here down the road!
Once again I forgot to get a rear-view mirror shot, so here’s one I found online of Spiderman hanging from the mirror. He can do this because he’s Spiderman and he does whatever a spider can. Including hanging from a rear-vrew mirror. So there!
