Scott Toilet Paper? I wasn’t talking about you and how did you even knock, you have no arms!
Okay, let’s try this again. It’s been a while since we’ve taken a Scott Turley Road Trip and so today that’s exactly what we’re going to do!
And I think I know who’s behind the door this time…
There he is, the MBIP Pal and Wheelman, Scott Turley! He’s looking good and he brought me some beer! It’s the Old Town Mackinaw Bicentennial Brew!
Very nice, thanks, Scott! And now it’s time to hit the road for yet another Scott Turley Road Trip!
And we’re off and rolling down the highway! We’re on our way to Pekin to visit…
La Fiesta of Pekin!
Scott’s got the door and let’s go inside and see what’s happening in there.
They have a nice bar in here and I’m hoping we can take photos in here today. We didn’t have very good luck at the last Mexican restaurant we visited!
Alfredo was the friendly bartender on duty and he said he was happy to pose for a photo while serving us up giganzo margaritas! We’re off to a wonderful start in here!

Scott and I were talking about his first time he appeared on the blog and I found the link to the very first appearance by Scott way back on January 29, 2013! That’s back when the blog was just about two months old! Time flies when you’re doing a daily blog!
We placed our dinner order with Alfredo and they immediately brought us chips and salsa.
The chips were warm and tasty and the salsa was delicious!
Here’s a shot of the back of the bar with glasses hanging overhead. There’s the four beers on tap back there.
There’s a long booth and tables and chairs opposite the bar. I like their logo and the nice display of menus on the table!
Here’s the large and colorful dining room at La Fiesta.
They have a nice outside patio, but if you want to dine out here, you better come soon because any day now old man you know who is going to be creeping into our area!
Meanwhile, back at the bar…
Our dinner is starting to arrive!
We started off with an order of Buffalo Wings and they were really tasty. I think this is the first time I’ve ever eaten Buffalo Wings in a Mexican restaurant!
Here’s the main courses: Scott got a tamale and street tacos and I got the steak fajita quesadilla with rice. I wisely had them hold the beans! Everything looks fabulous!

The steak fajita quesadilla was loaded with steak and it was a taste-filled treat!
This was a great afternoon at La Fiesta in Pekin, Illinois. Thanks to Scott for driving, hanging out and he also picked up the tab for our dinner and drinks. He said it was his contribution to the blog! Thanks so much, Scott and I look forward to another Scott Turley Road Trip soon!
