Okay, usually on Wednesday we’re joined by my friend and weekly driver, Jim/Karl. However, he’s out of town this week, so he’s going to be replaced by a trio of my friends, whom we’ll meet as we make our way to tonight’s destination, The Brass Bull in Morton, Illinois.

Bar Number 236: The Brass Bull, Wednesday, October 14, 2026

Okay, here’s the first Karl replacement, my friend, Joe who’s driving us to The Brass Bull in Morton. Since Joe’s the first to be pictured, we’ll call him, Karl/2! Wonderful to have him along!

Here we are at The Brass Bull in Morton. I love the colorful windows out here!

In perfect Karl fashion, Karl/2 opens the door for us, let’s go in and see what’s happening inside on this fine Wednesday evening in Morton, Illinois.

They have an impressive and long bar inside of here…but where is everybody?

There they are, they’ve settled in to this table directly opposite the bar. Let’s go over and meet the official Karl replacements!

There they are in all of their Karl glory, from left: Jon who will be named Karl/3, Amber who will take the name of Karla and Karl/1. They’re looking fabulous and I appreciate them coming along and filling the shoes of the original Karl!

Addy was the pretty and friendly bartender on duty and we met Addy way back at the beginning of this bar tour! Addy also bartends at The Basket Case, which was our fifth stop on this tour way back in January!

Addy’s mom, Danette owns both bars and Addy’s grandparents owned The Brass Bull back in the day. This is truly a family affair in here!

There’s the back of the bar, the six beers on tap and as you can see, there’s lots of daily specials in here to enjoy!

Check it out, Karla won not one, but two prizes at one of the games in here! I think that’s a purple duck and some sort of alien creature. Nice work, Karla!

There’s a Wrestlemania pinball machine up in front of the colorful windows. This sure is a festive place!

There’s two dartboards in the back and another room with a pool table and some Halloween decorations.

They have some wonderful Halloween decor happening in here, but for me, the scariest thing is that Pumpkin Pie Shot!

Meanwhile, back at our table…

A Butch’s Pepperoni Pizza has arrived! In case you haven’t noticed, the lighting in here is giving all these photos a heavy magenta hue and it really did a number on the pizza. Click here to see the pizza as it actually looks pre-cooked.

Addy cooked the pizza perfectly and we all really enjoyed it. This was a fabulous evening at The Brass Bull in Morton, Illinois!

In the bathroom I ran into Jason, whom we haven’t seen since Karla’s birthday party about a month ago! Great to see him again and I thanked him for not killing me.

Thank’s to Joe/Karl2, Amber/Karla and Jon/Karl3 for driving and hanging out for the evening. I had a blast and you were the perfect replacements for the original Karl!
