Kouri’s Pub here in Peoria was the 170th bar on this 365 tour back in July. They also have a sister pub in Pekin, Illinois, which I’ve never been to.

Tonight I fix that as the Kouri’s Pub in Pekin will become our 234th stop on the 365 tour of bars in Central Illinois! Off to Pekin we go!

Bar Number 234: Kouri’s Pub (Pekin), Sunday, October 11, 2026

Here we are at Kouri’s Pub in Pekin and I walked over here to get a shot of the signage in the front of the building and then looked for a door to enter and there isn’t one, which surprised me.

To enter the pub, you have to come to the back of the building and enter through this back door. So that’s exactly what we’ll do!

There’s a front dining area when you first walk in, but we’re not going to be sitting at a dining table, we’ll be sitting at…

The bar, which is located over here in the center of the room.

They have news and messages rotating overhead the bar and I like the squared ceiling in here. Very nice!

Kayla was the pretty and friendly bartender on duty and after she served me up a pre-dinner beer, she then took my dinner order.

Everything is going perfectly in here so far!

There’s the back of the bar with all of the bottles lit up in a grand fashion! They have nine beers on tap back there.

There’s dining tables and booths in this area in the back of the room.

Wow, there’s a whole enclosed beer patio area out here with another bar, gaming machines and there’s also tables and chairs and a fire pit. I took a photo of the area with tables and chairs but it fuzzed out and I only took one photo. Well, stop by yourself to see that area!

Mandy told me that she’s a regular reader of the blog and I always love to hear that! It was great to meet and chat with her!

Meanwhile, back at the bar…

Our Sunday dinner is starting to arrive!

I started off with an order of the Buffalo Wings and they were tender and juicy. The Buffalo sauce had a nice tangy flavor and these were great wings.

I also got a Mini Steak Kabob and this was a real treat! The top sirloin steak was tender and tasty and the onions and green pepper complemented the meat perfectly.

This was a tasty Sunday night dinner.
