Last year summer came and went and before I knew it, Wheels Of Time Museum had closed for the season and I didn’t get a chance to go out and take pictures for the MBIP blog.
Well, that’s not going to happen this year, just a few days ago I spent a fun afternoon at Wheels O’ Time Museum and I have the photos to prove it!
Check it out and you’ll see I had a wheely good time! Oof!
Here we are at Wheels O’ Time Museum and check out the sign, how did they know we were stopping by today?
Let’s go in and see what’s happening in here on this fine and sunny summer day.
There’s Jane working the front counter and she sold me my ticket.
Okay, time to enter and see Wheels O’ Time for the 2025 season!
One misconception about this place is that there’s just cars on exhibit here. While there is plenty of cool cars and vehicles to check out, there’s also a lot of other interesting things on display like airplanes, vintage clocks and check out the barber display.
Hey there’s Donald Trump! Watch this, hey Donald…the password for the day is…Epstein!
Ha ha ha! That works every time!
Okay, let’s just keep moving along here…
I love the train out here on the side of the main building and one car is really special…
It’s the dining car from Junction City!
This sure brings back a ton of memories as I dined here many times in my life!
There’s so much cool things on display in here and it brings back a flood of nice memories from the past!
There’s more cars over here, but like I said before, there’s a lot more to Wheels O’ Time than just vintage and cool cars on display in here.
As you travel up these stairs you’ll see airplanes, kitschy dolls, bicycles and a cool WMBD historical display and a lot more!
Check out the cool pipe organ on display in here, this is a new exhibit and if you can play the organ, they’ll let you try it out, all you have to do is ask!
Wow, check out the pay phone…how do you take pictures with that phone?
Since it’s Caterpillar’s 100th anniversary, they have a special exhibition to commemorate this special occasion with tractors, photos, models, posters and more on display.
What a cool collection of Caterpillar memorabilia!
They even have a classic tractor on display out here in the front of the museum!
Opposite that is the LeTourneau Steel House exhibit.
You can read all about this unique house by clicking here.
As I was finishing up my tour and photos I ran into Laura Evancho, the Executive Director for the Wheels O’ Time Museum. She said it’s been a wonderful season here so far and attendance is up for the year.
There’s lots of events still happening for this season and you can check them out by clicking here.
Thanks to Laura and everyone at the Wheels O’ Time Museum for providing such a fun Peoria summer destination!
