Saturday Night @: Casa Agave

by MBIP

Live, from Peoria Heights, it’s Saturday Night starring this week’s host, Casa Agave and featuring special guest stars, Joe, Amber, Alana and Nora!

Now, please welcome, from restaurant row on Prospect Road in Peoria Heights, Casa Agave!

Here we are at Casa Agave, the newest Mexican restaurant in Peoria! I’m anxious to try this place out!

There’s seating on the outside front patio, but we’ll go in and take a look around inside.

There’s a nice and spacious bar area when you walk in and the main dining room is right next door.

Hey, I see a couple familiar faces at a table down there…

It’s my friends Amber and Joe!

They’re looking fantastic, as always and it’s wonderful to have them join us for this Saturday night dinner!

Alana was our pretty and friendly waitress and she took our dinner and drink orders.

We started off with an order of Queso Dip which comes with two styles of their homemade chips and it was a creamy and rich treat.

Amber and Joe each got a margarita and there they are toasting the beginning of this fun evening at Casa Agava. Cheers!

Nora, who owns Casa Agava along with her husband Jose came over to say hi and she’s looking beautiful as always!

Nora and Jose also own Jalapeno’s which has been in business in the Metro Centre for years, so they have a lot of experience in the local restaurant business.

She told me that business has been fantastic since they opened a month ago and said I could wander around and take some photos, so that’s exactly what I’m going to do!

There’s a shot from the back of the dining room and talbes line the side wall.

There’s more tables up near the front window of the dining area.

I love the tequila styled art on the walls in here!

Here’s the large bar in the front as you enter and there’s the multiple beers on tap.

There’s a nice dining area directly opposite the bar with tables lined up against the wall.

Casa Agava has a wonderful upscale vibe happening and it’s very nice in here.

Meanwhile, back at our table…

Our Saturday night dinner is starting to arrive!

We started off with an order of Esquite, which is Mexican styled corn with cotija cheese, mayo and chili powder. it was a tasty way to start off our Saturday night Mexican dinner!

Here’s our main courses: Amber got an order of the Flautas, Joe ordered the Enchiladas Mole and I got an order of the Taco Gobernador.

Everything looks absolutely delicious!

Joe and Amber loved their dinner and raved about the presentation and the authentic Mexican flavor and style of the dishes.

I got an order of the Taco Gobernador which are a trio of tacos filled with tasty grilled shrimp, serrano, tomato and melted cheese.

These are true Mexican styled tacos and so tasty with just the right amount of spice and seasoning. What a delicious dinner!

For dessert we split an order of traditional Mexican Flan. It was a creamy and sweet way to end a wonderful Mexican-styled Saturday night dinner!

Thanks to Amber and Joe for joining me and thanks to Nora, Alana and everyone at Casa Agave for a fantastic and authentic Mexican Saturday night dinner!
