Okay, we’re up to the 11th and final week of the MBIP Spinal Rib tour and this is a special post because worlds are colliding…whoops…someone’s knocking on the door, let’s see who it is…
It’s George Costanza! Yeah, I know your worlds collided in the past, but that’s a rerun, we’re here in the present, so go tell it to Kramer!
Okay, let’s try the door one more time…
That’s more like it, It’s the MBIP Wheelman himself, Scott Turley!
This is where our worlds are colliding, for the last week of this ribtastic tour, I let Scott choose a rib restaurant and he chose Bernardi’s in Washington, Illinois, so that’s where we’re headed for the final slab of ribs.
Hey fellas, how about a little cruising music to get us going?
You’re a naughty one, Saucy Jack…
Thanks, now let’s hit the road!
And we’re off! Scott is steering us to Washington, Illinois and check out the line at Emo’s!
We’ve made it to Washington, Illinois, now on to this week’s stop for our 11th week of ribs…
Bernardi’s! As always, Scott’s leading the way inside to this rib destination!
They have a nice bar in here and that’s where we decided to settle in at.
I’m ordering the ribs and there’s Scott figuring out his order.
Brayden was the friendly bartender on duty and here he is serving me up a bottle of Budweiser.
He took our dinner order and the eleventh week of ribs is going very nicely!
Here’s a hot from the other end of the bar, there’s the beers on tap and there’s gaming machines opposite the bar for all of you gambler’s out there.
There’s booths lined up opposite the bar and a circular table is in front of the Bernardi’s mirror over here.
Here’s the dining room which is located opposite of the bar area. There’s a sign with the weekly specials listed on it.
Meanwhile, back at the bar…
Our dinner is arriving. We started off with an appetizer order of the Brernardi’s Sausage bites.
These are nuggets of their homemade Italian sausage served up with their golden barbecue sauce and they are so delicious!
We’re off to a fantastic start here!
Baboom! There’s the first Turley bite of the afternoon!
Now we’re presented with our main courses.
Scott got the combination Spaghetti and Tortellini and I got the Babyback Ribs. THe food looks amazing!
The Turley bite number two is happening now.
Scott said his combination plate was absolutely delicious!
I got a half rack of the Babyback Ribs and they look delightful!
The ribs were fall off the bone tender and so tasty!
The sauce had a nice tang with a hint of sweetness and these were fantastic ribs!
Before you know it, they dissolved into a pile of bones.
This was a fantastic meal at Bernardi’s!

Rib Rating
These were very tasty ribs and I’ll give them a nice rating of 10.1.
All of the ribs on this tour were so tasty, but I have to say that my favorite of this eleven week tour was Dac’s Smokehouse in Morton.
Thanks to Scott for driving and hanging out for the day, it was a fun and tasty afternoon!
