My schedule got tossed around a little bit this week. Usually I go out on Saturday night for my Monday post and then on Sunday or Monday I go and do whatever I need to do for my Tuesday post.
I mentioned in yesterday’s post I got snowed in on Saturday because Peoria got hit with a big snowstorm. Luckily Schnucks is almost across the street, so I went there and got some frozen appetizers for this week’s appetizer post, since I had to go out Sunday for yesterday’s post.
This is the thirteenth and final week of this appetizer tour! What happens next? Well, stay tuned because big things are on the way!
Here’s the three frozen appetizers I picked up at Schnucks last snowy Saturday evening.
The first one that’s going in the oven is this five pack of Crav’n Crab Rangoons.
I thought I’d prepare a dipping sauce for the Crab Rangoon and the other two appetizers as well.
I mixed together equal parts of this Asian Zing, Soy Sauce and Sweet Chili to make our dipping sauce for tonight’s trio of appetizers.
And here’s the first appetizer of the evening, our Crab Rangoon, right out of the oven!
This was a tasty appetizer and I really like the dipping sauce, it’s nice and spicy and has a tasty zing to it! It complimented the Crab Rangoon nicely!
Next up is a batch of Cheddar Cheese Curds, into the oven they go.
Once they came out of the oven, I added a little Onion Powder to them to spice them up a little bit.
I tried one plain and it didn’t have much flavor, so I dipped it into the sauce and it was still somewhat void of any kind of flavor or taste. Let’s just keep moving along here folks!
We’ll try another cheese selection from the folks at Farm Rich. Hopefully this one will be tastier than the Cheddar Cheese Curds selection.
These are Stuffed Buffalo Cruncher sticks and they have a little heat, but not a lot of flavor. \
I don’t taste any Buffalo seasoning at all. Let’s take them for a dip in the sauce and see if that helps out at all.
The sauce added a little flavor but overall it’s another bland cheese snack from the Farm Rich company. I’m definitely crossing this company off of my frozen appetizer list!

Appetizer Rating
The Crav’n Crab Rangoon was definitely the best appetizer from this frozen trio.
I’ll give it a nice rating of three Chad Wallace Deviled Eggs.
And just like that, after a little over three months, this appetizer tour is over.
Stay tuned to see what’s coming up next. As I said earlier, things are going to get a little shaken up around here, so stay tuned!
