Last week marked the 55th anniversary of Woodstock, the three day music festival that happened on August 15, 16 and 17 in 1969. This was an historic festival and a moment in our culture when it seemed like peace and love was something that just might happen. Well, it didn’t, but it’s nice to go back to a time when we had innocent visions of the future.

MBIP Coming Attractions
Monday: Last night I went with my friends, Amber and Joe to a place I’ve seen many times and never stopped in at: Sushi KO in the Metro Centre. Tune in and check out our Saturday night meal there!
Tuesday: We’re up to our ninth week on our the MBIP hot dog tour and I’m meeting friends today for this week’s installment. Tune in to see where we ended up at for this week’s doggone tour!
Wednesday: I met my cousins Danny and Patty for lunch last week at one of my favorite Peoria places, Mike’s Tavern.
Thursday - Saturday: I’ll have an update on my forthcoming book: “Confessions of a Spiteful Writer” on Thursday and I’ll be taking Friday and Saturday off to hopefully work on that aforementioned book!
