It’s Friday and that means it that time of the week to spotlight a local tavern and this week we’ve got a true Peoria hidden gem.
The term “hidden gem” is thrown around a lot, but when it comes to Tavern 41, this is really true, let’s go over there and I’ll show you with the MBIP Camera!
Tavern 41 is actually part of Herold’s Pizza Oven, but there’s no sign out front. You have to travel down this side parking lot, park down here and…
Let’s go inside and check out this neighborhood hidden gem!
It’s a small, cozy room and the square, horseshoe bar takes up most of the room in this tavern at the back of the pizza parlor.
There’s the quartet of beers available on tap. There’s also a decent supply of canned and bottled beers and a full inventory of wine, spirits and liquor at the bar.
Tables and chairs line the wall opposte the bar and there’s another table by the front window facing the parking lot and neighborhood.
There’s the Tavern 41 logo and I love the catch-phrase, “Blender’s Still Broken.” Ha ha ha!
There’s a stadium map picture and a nice lit-up Blue Moon sign on the back wall.
A Bags game is located in this corner and if you’re a gambler, there’s a place nearby for you that will be revealed if you keep on scrolling!
That sign is hilarious and they have Tavern 41 t-shirts behind the bar. Nice!

Tavern 41 has a Happy Hour that happens on Monday through Friday from 3 to 6pm with the following specials:
• $2.00 domestic beers
• $2.50 well drinks
• $3.00 call drinks
• $4.00 seven inch pizzas
• $4.00 cheese and bread sticks
They also have daily specials listed on the above sign.
