Live, from Washington, Illinois, it’s Saturday Afternoon/Evening starring this week’s host, HalloWING Thing: 2024 with special guest stars, Theresa and Paul and a whole garage and driveway full of guests!
Now, please welcome this week’s spooktacular host, HalloWING Thing: 2024!
Okay, here we are at the destination of The HalloWING Thing festivities, the home of Theresa and Paul McHenry in Washington Illinois.
Let’s go take a close up look at some of the Halloween decorations out here on the front lawn.
Wow, this is amazing! It’s a true Halloween delight! I love it!
The McHenry’s encourage people to stop by and take pictures and enjoy this marvelous tribute to Halloween. If you put the pictures up on social media, all they ask is that you add the hashtag: #mchenrysnightmare.
The address is: 208 South Wood Street in Washington, Illinois if you’d like to stop by and see this impressive display of Halloween magic in person!
Okay, let’s go check out the HalloWING Thing party!
The guests are gathered in the garage and out on the driveway and this is a perfect day for a fall party!
Here’s the hosts of this wonderful HalloWING Thing extravaganza: Theresa and Paul McHenry!
Theresa said they started doing the Halloween decorations in 2012 after their daughter Alyse made a pinky swear with her dad that he would make a Nightmare Before Christmas yard for her.
Theresa told me that Halloween has been her favorite holiday since she was a child and she loves the psychology behind what makes us uncomfortable and then having fun with that.
Here’s just a few of the guests at the party, from the top: Theresa with her aforementioned daughter, Alyse on her right and her daughter-in-love, Shelby to the left of her, AJ and Heather, Theresa’s dad, Lyle, Mike and Cyndi and Heather and Laina.
It was great to meet everyone and it was a fun and friendly crowd!
Theresa gave me a tour of the inside of the house that’s loaded with Halloween decorations!
These pictures just scratch the surface, it’s a true Halloween museum in here!
Now it’s time for the WING portion of this HalloWING Thing party!
Eleven guests have made their own chicken wings and everyone is invited to sample them and cast your vote on the top three wings of the day!
There’s my plate, numbered for the individual wing offerings. All of the wings were so delicious and the different flavors were mind-boggling!
I love the custom beer koozies they made for the party. They pull out all the stops for this festive get together!
I’ve never eaten eleven chicken wings in one sitting, so I was full afterwards but they were all delightful!
You voted for your favorite wings by dropping a token into your top three favorite wings.
Theresa handed out the cash prizes and top trophy awards in the garage.
Her son RJ, took the 2nd, 3rd and Kid’s Choice and Cyndi won the coveted Best Wing trophy and cash!
Congratulations to both of them and thanks to all who brought the chicken wings. They were a flavorful taste treat for sure!
For dessert they passed out these homemade doll’s head cake pops!
Creepy and delicious all at the same time, perfection!
Here’s a few photos of the house after the sun went down and they lit it all up!
This was such a fun party and I thank Theresa and Paul for inviting me! It was wonderful to meet everyone at the annual HalloWING Thing: 2024!
