It seems impossible to believe, but today marks the 25th anniversary of the final episode of Seinfeld!
The series ran from June 5, 1989 and the final episode aired on May 14, 1998, 25 years ago on this very date!
The show started off on somewhat shaky ground and didn’t get great ratings in the beginning. There were a couple of executives at NBC that liked the premise and championed the show and the general consensus is that the series template happened in the 11th episode of the second season, which was titled, “The Chinese Restaurant.” This was the episode that was truly “about nothing” and was the episode where the show started to find its unique voice.
The TV show became one of the biggest shows in television history and by the time of the show’s finale episode, there was so much hype that there was no way for the episode to live up to all of the publicity and hoopla.
Below are six links about the 25th anniversary of this episode, plus a link to a video that explains the finale and below that are the MBIP Coming Attractions!
