Peoria Life is a Peoria live-stream podcast that features programs all about people and places in and around Peoria. Hence the title, “Peoria Life.” I was recently invited to be interviewed on a segment and so of course I took the trusty MBIP Camera to document the interview and afternoon.
It turned out to be a ton of fun and I learned a lot about Widecast, Inc. the company where Peoria Life is broadcast from. Come along and I’ll show and tell you more!
Here’s the outside of the Widecast offices and studios on Main Street. You’ve probably driven by here many times in your travels and today you get to take a look inside!
This is the front office area and these are the three people that are going to make the interview happen! Let me introduce them to you.
This is Cedrick “Ced” Dockery who’s the CEO of Widcast, Inc. and the Managing Director of the studios. Ced told me that through Widecast and Peoria Life the goal is to engage with Peorians and tell their stories. They offer varied content and can also help you create content for your business, social media, personal aspirations and just about any need you have to assist you in telling your very own Peoria story and engage with our unique community.
Widecast also has a booking division that can help you plan events and parties. Ced and Widecast can work with you, for you or help you with consultations in any business or entertainment situation.
If you have an event, a business or a show idea and would like to explore the possibilities of working with Ced and the crew here, you can call or text, 309-361-5089 or send an email to Studio707PeoriaLife@outlook.com.
You can also follow Ced on Twitter by clicking here and check out the Peoria Life website by clicking here.
This is Anshuman Reddy who’s the Operations Manager at Widecast and an all-around nice guy! This is a friendly and fun place to visit!
And last but certainly not least is Renee Waller, who’s going to be conducting and hosting my interview. Renee’s not only a host here, she was recently a guest as well talking about her unique downtown business, Selfie Space. You can watch that interview by clicking here.
Renee has also been featured in the PJ Star and on WMBD news. Check out the Selfie Space website by clicking here.
There’s Ced setting up the Peoria Life desk in the back studio.
Here’s some backstage shots as Renee settles in to her spot at the desk.
I took a few more backstage shots before we go live.
And we’re live in three…two…
And one! Here’s a screen shot from the interview…
And here’s the interview from the Peoria Life You Tube channel.
Thanks to Renee for a great interview and to Ced and Anshuman for the behind the scenes work to put it all together!
