My friend and local author, Tricia, who’s nom de plume is P.A. Nimmo came out with her first book, Running Blind in Traffic last year and she really hit the ground running!
She got the book into stores, on the internet and got some choice publicity for it as well.
As if that wasn’t enough, last Saturday she had her first book signing event at the bookstore, I Know You Like A Book in Peoria Heights.
So of course I went and you can see photos of this quaint and colorful bookstore and of Tricia’s first book signing event below. Just turn the page…errr…keep on scrolling. I got a little caught up in the world of books there and forgot we’re on the internet!
Here we are at I Know You Like a Book in Peoria Heights.
Wow, check out the coverage for Tricia’s book in the front window, nice!
I see someone i recognize behind that desk!
It’s the owner of I Know You Like a Book, Mary Beth Nebel! She said business has been great and they’ve now been open over 15 years! What a great local success story!
Great to see Mary Beth again, now let’s wander around and take some photos. Hey, it’s what I do!
As you can see, this is a well-stocked book store. Lots of titles to choose from and the books are both new and used.
I love the chalkboard. Best One-World Book Title Is…Hmmm, let me think, well, since we’re in a book store I think it would be, “Goodbuy.”
Thanks, I’ll be here all week…well actually I’m only going to be here about an hour or so, but what are you going to do?
In addition to books, they also have book-inspired gifts including t-shirts and artwork.
There’s another room, let’s go see what’s inside of it…
More books, what a surprise!
I love the bookcases in here and how the large inventory is displayed!
And there’s yet another room over here. I think I see a familiar face in there, let’s go in and take a look around.
There’s a wall of books in here as well as books on a table and books up near the front window.
And there’s the guest of honor, Tricia, speaking with some people who came to buy her book and get it signed.
This is really exciting and I’m happy her book is doing so well!
There she is posing for the MBIP Camera!
As I said, Tricia really has done a great job getting the book out there and getting the word out about it. You can see her interviewed on WEEK’s Community Corner by clicking here and listen to her interviewed on The Greg and Dan Show by clicking right here!
And she’s got her very own book signing events at one of Peoria’s coolest book stores! Congratulations on all you’ve accomplished, Tricia!
There’s still copies left, so stop by I Know You Like a Book and shop local by buying a book by a local author!
