I couldn’t go out for a hot dog this week because I’m stuck at The MBIP World Headquarters, Mach IV because I can’t drive and even getting in a car at this point would be difficult.
So once again, a family member stepped up to the plate to help me out. My brother Tom brought me everything I’d need to make a chili-cheese dog here at the MBIP World Headquarters, Mach IV.
So let’s not waste any more time…let’s cook.
Here’s the ingredients for this week’s chili-cheese dog that Tom picked up for me. Clockwise from left: Spicy Pal Musrard, Ball Park Hot Dog Buns, an onion, Ray’s Coney Dog Sauce, Kraft Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese and Nathan’s Jumbo Beef Franks.
First things first, we’ll chop up the onion into square chunks.
Next it’s time to get the Ray’s Coney Dog Sauce heated up.
In addition to heating it up, we’ll also add some seasoning to it. This will include some hot sauce, ground mustard, black pepper and a few dashes of hot chili powder.
Then we mix it all together and let it simmer on a low heat.
Next we coat a pan with a generous dollop of I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter and let it warm up.
Then we dip our hot dog buns into the buttery mixture and then place them under the broiler to toast up.
Now it’s time for the star of today’s show, the Nathan’s Hot Dog! I’ve sliced it in half and we’ll let it sear in this buttered pan.
i took the buns out from the broiler and placed them into this homemade steamer oven for just a few seconds.
Okay, everything is done, time to build the chili-cheese dog. I’m very excited about this because everything looks so savory and delicious!
We’ll place the sliced hot dogs onto the broiled and steamed buns, then add the chili, mustard, cheese and onions and this is one delicious looknig chili-cheese dog!
Before man bites dog, let’s uncork a beer in honor of this fantasic home-made chili-cheese dog.
What a gorgeous looking chili-cheese dog!
It was tough to roll it together to take a bite…
But when I did it was so tasty and delicious.
It was a sloppy mess eating it, but the flavors were extraordinary and so delicious!
Thanks again to Tom for picking up all of these chili-cheese dog ingredients!
