Despite being written and directed by movie star legend, Tom Hanks, the movie, That Thing You Do, pretty much bombed when it was first released.
It took years after its release to attract a cult-like audience and through the years, That Thing You Do, has found a loyal and die-hard audience.
In honor of this somewhat cult-like following, here’s six links to online articles about the movie, That Thing You Do! And there’s also a reunion video with all four band members in it.
And then there’s the weekly MBIP Coming Attractions as to what’s happening next week on the blog!

MBIP Coming Attractions
Monday: I’ve been stuck here at MBIP World Headquarters, Mach IV, so I couldn’t go out for my Saturday Night Dinner and because of my hip replacement I couldn’t even drive anywhere to get a take-out dinner. Well, my sister Terry came to the rescue and brought me a take-out dinner from Dixon’s Seafood Shoppe on University.
Tuesday: As I just mentioned, I’m kind of stuck here at MBIP World Headquarters, so for this week’s Dog Days Of Summer, I’m making my own chili-cheese dog right here, right now.
Wednesday: On our sister YouTube channel, The Midwest Slice Of Life, I thought I’d feature this week’s tenderloin video since there’s not much else to do!
Thursday: I might just take Thursday off, we’ll see.
Friday: I actually have a grilling episode I shot before the surgery, so we’ll put that up this week.
Saturday: There will be another blast from the past with another Meanwhile, Back In Peora’s Past post.
