Live from Peoria Heights, it’s Saturday Night starring this week’s host, Peoria Pizza Works and featuring special guest stars, Amber, Joe and Zoie plus a musical guest who I didn’t get the name of.
Now please welcome this week’s saucy host, Peoria Pizza Works!
Here we are at Peoria Pizza Works, one of Peoria’s oldest pizza parlors. They’ve been making pizzas here since 1972 and they’re still going strong.
Let’s go inside and start this Saturday night adventure!
I love the dark atmosphere in here.
As I head into the booths lining the walls in the dining room I see a couple of familiar people over there…
It’s my friends Amber and Joe, always great to have them join me for a Saturday night out on the town!
They’re both looking fabulous and this is a wonderful start to our Saturday evening!
Zoie is our friendly and cute waitress and here she is delivering our pre-dinner drinks.
We ordered dinner and through the magic of these here interwebs…
Our appetizer has arrived already!
We got an order of the pretzel bread sticks and they were delicious!
They come with a tub of rich and tasty melted cheese and it was a delightful start to our Saturday night dinner.
There’s Amber and Joe enjoying our tasty appetizer.
Now while the main course is being prepared, I’m going to wander around and take some photos in here. This is what I do!
They have a classic copper-top bar up in the front of the dining room and as you can see, they have a large selection of draft beer behind the bar.
There’s gaming machines opposite the bar for all of you gambler’s out there!
Here’s the middle room next to the dining room.
This room leads to the room that features live entertainment at Peoria Pizza Works…
Tonight there was a birthday party going on with several live bands playing.
I didn’t get the name of this band, so if anyone knows who they are, let me know and I’ll update this with their name.
Meanwhile, back at our booth, the main course to our Saturday night dinner has arrived, we got a giant cheese pizza pie and it looks fabulous!
This was one tasty pizza pie.
The crust was nice thin and crunchy, the sauce had a nice zing to it and we got extra cheese so it was super rich!
As you can see, Amber and Joe are loving it!
And check out the plaque at our booth, it’s the second place award from the first season of The Midwest Slice Of Life! This is the pizza review series that I’m doing with my friend, Dan Belk.
You can check out the entire awards show by clicking right here. We also have a new episode premiering today and I’ll update this post with a link to that episode around noon today, so check back for that!
Thanks to everyone at Peoria Pizza Works for a fun and delicious evening and thanks to Amber and Joe for joining me on this fun Saturday night in Peoria Heights!
We’ll see you all tomorrow!
