It’s the third week of our Dog Days Of Summer hot dog eating tour and this week we’ve got a special guest star, who’s never been on the blog before. In fact, I’ve never met her.
Here’s the back-story.
The first week of this hot dog tour,I posted this on the MBIP facecrack page:
I posted a photo from our first stop on the tour and asked people to guess where it was from. I didn’t think anyone would guess correctly, but I was proven wrong by Kimberly Roe, who correctly guessed, The Spotted Cow.
I congratulated her and she wanted to know if she wins a hot dog for guessing correctly.
I told her of course and so she’s going to be eating her winning hot dog on today’s post!
Kim told me that one of her favorite places to get a hot dog was at Weaver’s Fresh Food & Drink. I wasn’t even aware that they had hot dogs out here, so we agreed to meet here.
And here we are, let’s go inside and start this week’s hot dog edition!
Welcome to Weaver’s!
The sign says to wait to be seated, but the host station is empty…
But within seconds Amira showed up and saved the day and led me to our table, which leads us to…
Introducing our special guest star, Kim!
It was great to meet Kim and she assured me that the hot dogs here are top notch.
Kim teaches at I.C.C. and it’s wonderful to meet her and have her as this week’s special guest!
There’s the Chili Dogs featured on the menu. They serve them up Coney Dog style with chili, mustard and onions. We ordered two with fries!
Abby was our friendly waitress for the afternoon and I love her smile!
We started off our lunch with an order of the Asian Heat Chicken Wings and they were spicy and very tasty!
Tables line the walls of the dining room and there’s a photo of the owner of Weaver’s, Matt Weaver, golfing with Willie Nelson!
I’m guessing they shot 420 that day!
There’s a huge bar up front complete with wide-screen TV’s to watch all of your favorite sporting events.
They have an impressive selection of beers on tap and also a large array of bottles and cans as shown in the bottom photo!
Cheers and beers!
Meanwhile, back at our table…
The Coney Dogs have arrived along with an order of fries!
Let’s unwrap them and check them out, this is like a Coney Dog Christmas!
Kim’s wide-eyed excited over her Coney Dog and no wonder, it looks delicious!
And it’s proof that people really win here at MBIP! Hot dog!
This is a tasty-looking Coney Dog and I can’t wait to dig in and take a bite!
The French Fries are made in-house and they were tasty, now let’s try this week’s Coney-Styled Hot Dog!
Wow, this is so flavorful and delicious!
The chili is savory and it blends well with the chopped onions and mustard.
The hot dog is fresh and has a robust flavor and the bun is steamed and bakery fresh!
Thanks to Kim for meeting us on this third week of our hot dog tour, hopefully she’ll join us on another stop on this summer frankfurter tour!
