This is hard to believe, but 52 years ago on this day on April 10th, 1970 is the day that The Beatles broke up. Paul McCartney released a press statement regarding his first solo album and within that press release it pretty much told the tale that The Beatles were no longer the Fab Four that we once knew.
From that day on, they all started releasing solo albums and while some would make a guest appearance on a record, they would never record as a quartet again. On December 8th, 1980, John Lennon was shot to death in front of his New York home, The Dakota Building and that was the day that everyone knew it was finally over.
In honor of this 52nd anniversary, I’ve got six links and a video featuring Paul McCartney about the break up of the Fabulous Four. Then there’s the MBIP Coming Attractions. Yeah, yeah and…yeah!

MBIP Coming Attractions
Monday: A week ago on Saturday I went to The Broadway Deli & Lounge and had dinner and enjoyed a one-man show by Greg Batton. Since the blog was on hold last week, I’m putting up photos from the show tomorrow.
Tuesday: I’m continuing to eat ALL the pizza in Peoria and last week I tried a pie from Little Caesers.
Wednesday: I took last week off because I’ve moved into a new MBIP World Headquarters and I got everything that survived the fire in the previous place. BluSky is the company that cleaned the salvageable items and I’ll have photos of the new MBIP World Headquarters!
Thursday: I had lunch a couple of weeks ago at Donnelly’s Irish Pub with Bob Gordon and again, since the blog was on hold, I’m putting up the photos on Thursday for the Lunch At First Bite series.
Friday: I’ll be sampling two more chicken sandwiches from Wendy’s, as we start to come to a close to the Finger Lickin’ Chicken Sandwich Tour. I think I’ve got about four more weeks and then this clucked up tour is over!
Saturday: We’ll be taking a look at something from Peoria’s past as we present a brand new, Meanwhile, Back In Peoria’s Past, post.
