We’re up to our fourth week eating our way through the latest Goldbelly box, this one being the Keens Steakhouse Weekender Box.
This week we’re going to have a steak dinner starring Keens Steakhouse Prime Dry-Aged Sirloin Steak!
Are you hungry? Alright, let’s cook!
There’s one of the Prime Dry-Aged Sirloin Steaks. We’ll let this thaw out overnight.
Okay, it’s a day later and the steak is thawed and the other ingredients for tonight’s meal are Ore Ida Microwave French Fries and a little tub of Häagen-Dazs Carmel Cone ice cream for dessert.
I love these cooking cards that came with the Keens box.
It’s a step by step process and we’ll follow it until the steak is cooked to perfection!
Okay, I’ve patted the steak dry and the instructions say to salt it liberally and let it sit to get to room temperature.
I’ve pre-heated this pan and per the instructions I’m going to add some Olive Oil to it, let it heat up and then…
Kaboom! The steak goes in to get seared on both sides. I’m adding some black pepper to it.
This won’’t take long as the pan is sizzling hot!
I flipped it over and look at the nice crust it’s got on it!
Both sides are seared and I’ve drained the Olive Oil out of the pan and added some butter to the steak and into the pre-heated 400 degree oven it goes!
It’ll cook for an additional eight minutes, so let’s uncork a giganzo can of Budweiser in the meantime. Cheers!
The microwave fries take about five minutes to cook, so we’ll put them in the microwave right now while the steak is finishing up in the oven.
And there it is, it looks like it’s cooked to perfection!
We’ll take it out of the pan and let it rest for a few minutes before we plate up this tasty meal!
The french fries are done and I’m adding some Red Pepper to spice them up a little bit.
There it is, this week’s Keens Goldbelly dinner, French fries and a Prime Dry-Aged Keens Sirloin Steak…wait a second, we almost forgot something…
The Keens No. 16 steak sauce…
Now we’re all sauced up and ready to enjoy this tasty looking steak dinner!
I dipped the french fries in the steak sauce and they were pretty good for microwave fries.
Now let’s move on to the star of the show, the Prime Dry-Aged Sirloin Steak!
Wow, it’s perfectly cooked and is a delicious looking medium rare sirloin steak.
It is so tender, juicy and tasty! If I close my eyes it feels like I’m eating it in the bar at Keens Steakhouse in New York City!
Once again the Keens Goldbelly box does not disappoint.
This was a fabulous steak dinner!
The Häagen-Dazs Carmel Cone ice cream is nice and soft and a sweet ending to a wonderful meal!
