And now, before we have dinner at Donnelly’s Pub, let’s stop in at MBIP World Headquarters for the first dress rehearsal of the upcoming Musical Marty Monologues Show!

Here’s my friends Amber and Joe at the MBIP World Headquarters. They’re going to DJ the upcoming Musical Marty Monologues Show and they are also the show’s story editors.

Tonight is the first dress rehearsal!

Here I am telling the story of meeting David Johansen of the New York Dolls.

Amber and Joe enjoyed the rehearsal and the show is going to happen on Saturday, August 28th at the Broadway Deli and Lounge in downtown Peoria. It’s a dinner show and you have to buy tickets in advance. If you want to purchase tickets for the show, simply click here!

Okay, now on to our Saturday night dinner!

We decided to have our Saturday night dinner at Donnelly’s Irish Pub.

They have a nice patio dining area, but we wanted to eat inside, so it’s through the door we go!

There’s the spacious dining room inside…

We decided to sit at one of the booths that line the far wall of the dining room.

Our waiter was Finn, who’s the son of second generation owner, Ryan Donnelly.

Great to meet him and he told us he’s starting college in a couple of weeks.

Charlie Montgomery and his wife Rhonda stopped by our booth and said hi.

I’ve known Charlie for decades and it’s always great to see him and it was nice to meet Rhonda.

As you can see, they have a large selection of draft beers on tap.

Meanwhile, back at our booth, dinner is served!

We started off with the Pulled Pork Nachos and they look absolutely fabulous!

The house-made chips are topped with smoked pulled pork, roasted poblano pepper queso sauce, pico de gallo, pickled jalapenos and sour cream.

They were so delicious and satisfying!

I told you that you’d see a picture of their award winning chicken wings and here you go!

These are the Donnelly’s specialty Alabama chicken wings and they are a tasty delight!

The wings are smoked and covered in a homemade vinegar-based BBQ sauce. They have a such a unique and delicious flavor and when you take a bite of these plump wings, it’s obvious that they’re award-winning wigs.
