55 years ago on this date, The Beatles played their last live concert in Candlestick Park in San Francisco.
Back then no one knew that this was their last concert, but aside from an impromptu show on the roof of their Apple Corps headquarters, they would never play together in front of an audience again.

The Beatles’ final-ever concert at Candlestick Park, San Francisco, 1966 - While it wasn’t announced that this was the last Beatles live concert, all four had a sense that it was. Paul McCartney told their press agent Tony Barrow to tape it on a cassette player and he did. Bootleg copies of this were eventually released.

MBIP Coming Attractions!
Monday: I had my Saturday night dinner at Olympia Sports Bar + Grill with my friends Amber, Joe and Adam. We had fun and flaming cheese! Check it out at tomorrow’s post!
Tuesday: This week, as I continue to sample and grade ALL the pizza in Peoria, I’m going to try a new genre, “Gas Station Pizza.” Tune in and see what that’s all about.
Wednesday: We’re traveling to Chillicothe to check out a new gift shop that’s employing and selling products from people that have special needs. This shop and it’s owners are also sponsoring a concert series that’s going to be held on their farm. Thursday: I had lunch with my cousins, Dan and Patty and we went to Khaki Jack’s for a Lunch At First Bite post. Plus we’ll have The Same Three Fucking Questions I ask every week too!
