This is an interesting throw-back post today. It’s about a trip to the Burger Barge gone wrong and so I ended up at The Locker Room which is now the home of Kenny’s Westside Pub.
Let’s travel back in time over eight years ago when Kenny’s was still on Farmington Road…oh Sherman…
Can you set the Wayback Machine for June 17, 2013…
This was the start of the trip to the Burger Barge and my GPS led me to a dead end. And then it couldn’t calculate the route.
It was getting late, so I turned around and headed towards downtown Peoria and ended up at…
The future home of Kenny’s Westside Pub, which was known as The Locker Room back in 2013.
Let’s go in and take a look around and see what’s happening on this Saturday night from the past.
There’s the bar and there’s Kramer and Cody serving up a beer and they took my Saturday night dinner order.
The place looks smaller than it is now and it’s a testament to current owner Sean Kenny as to how he really made this place come alive.
It wasn’t bad back then, but it’s so much more now that it’s Kenny’s Westside Pub!
The napkin dispenser has been placed at my seat at the bar, that can only mean one thing…
It’s time for our 2013 Saturday night dinner at the Locker Room!
Back then I was getting a cheeseburger every Saturday night and this one looks fantastic! Let’s dig in!
Back in 2013, at The Locker Room Bar & Grill, you could make your own style of burger. There was a wide variety of choices for toppings, buns and sauces.
The burger I built was made with an Angus beef patty, topped with cheddar, pepperjack cheese and bacon. I chose A-1 and deli-style mustard for my sauces. I picked the pretzel bun to house it in.
All in all it was a very tasty burger and I loved the bakery-fresh pretzel bun.
