Since the Heart Of Illinois Fair starts this Tuesday, I thought we’d travel back to my very first post on the Heart Of Illinois Fair we ever did here on MBIP.
That was back in July of 2014…Oh Sherman…
Please set the Wayback Machine for July 17, 2014 and…
Baboom, here we are at Expo Gardens, the Peoria home of the Heart Of Illinois Fair, back in 2014.
Let’s go inside and see what’s happening!
I always love walking down the midway and seeing all the colorful and lit-up rides!
A long-standing tradtion at the Heart of Illinois Fair is the Beer Garden.
They have great live music in here to enjoy. This is New Legacy Music and they put on a great show!
Of course there’s beer in the Beer Garden and here’s Sue serving me up an ice-cold bottle of Miller Lite with a pretty smile!
Youn have to get a corn dog at the fair, it’s just the rules!
A giant corn dog, a bottle of beer and the Heart of Illinois Fair! It doesn’t get any better than this!
I think it’s time for a little dessert here…
So I got a caramel apple from this pretty young lady. Sweet!
Later on in the evening I ran into my friends Greg and Roxy. Roxy’s on the board of directors at the fair and you’ll be seeing both of them next week as I put up some posts from this year’s Heart of Illinois Fair!
