I reported a couple weeks ago that Relics Gift Shop has moved to a new location on Sheridan Road. It’s in the building that housed Moxie’s Resale Boutique and I discovered that Moxie’s has moved to the Sunbeam Building. You can read all about that from this post from May 26.
Relics has opened the doors to the new shopping space and I went and took a look around. And of course I took a bunch of photos too, it’s what I do!
Scroll on down and check out the brand new location of Relics!

Relics
Here we are at the brand spanking new location of Relics. Deb Opyd opened the first location of Relics back in 2008.
This is the third location that she’s set the shop up in and it’s definitely the largest.
You enter through the side door, which is conveniently open! Let’s go in and see what’s happening.
Wow, it’s huge in here and there’s so much unique and cool inventory to browse through!
As you can see, there’s a very large selection of live plants in here.
There’s lots of cards to choose from and these aren’t Hallmark cards either, and that’s a good thing!
Check out the fun magnets, Abe Lincoln key chains and a Jesus ashtray!
There’s lots of Peoria-centic items in here including t-shirts, coasters and magnets.
There’s also lots of fun reading material and photo and art books on the shelves in Relics.
These cement baby heads are creepy in a fun way!
I could spend all day perusing the unique and fun items in Relics, but I had to get to work, so…
I took my items up to the front counter and Rachid bagged them and rang me up. Rachid told me he’s the shop’s official Plant Man. Later I wondered if he was related to Robert, but it’s too late to ask now. I hate it when that happens!
I got two Peoria magnets and an Emo’s and Vanna Whitewall coaster.
There’s the magnets on the MBIP refrigerator and I put the coasters on the end tables next to the couch. Now I have to go to work…ugh.
