Live, from Peoria, Illinois, it’s Saturday Night Take-Out starring this week’s host, Fedora’s Pizza & Deli and featuring special guest stars, Nabil and Dale.
Now please put your hands together and welcome this week’s host, Fedora’s Pizza & Deli!
Two weeks ago I turned the Pizzas of Peoria saucy spotlight on a post from the past from Fedora’s. This led to a few comments like the one below on facecrack saying that they thought the place was closed.
I hadn’t been there for a while and I hoped that this wasn’t true. So I called and the owner of Fedora’s, Nabil answered the phone and told that the restaurant was still up and running.
That was great news and to celebrate, I decided to get my Saturday night take-out dinner from Fedora’s.
And here we are in front of Fedora’s on the corner of McClure and University Street, let’s go in and start this Saturday night!
It looks great in here and as I approached the front counter, the owner of Fedora’s, Nabil came around from the kitchen. Nabil is one of the nicest and friendliest business owners in Peoria!
He said it’s been tough since the pandemic happened last year, but he’s still open for business. That’s good news and if you’re reading this, stop by and get lunch or dinner from Fedora’s and keep this local business alive and well!
I placed my order and while Nabil is cooking that up, let’s take a look around in here.
There’s menus on the counter and a mini wall of a variety of chips to go along with your lunch or dinner.
Yes, it’s all that and a bag of chips!
It really looks nice in here. Nabil told me that he’s painted the place, added a new large flat-screen TV in the corner and there’s new ceiling fans as well.
Very cool, pun intended.
Dale told me that he’s a regular here and he’s tried everything on the menu more than once!
That Chili poster is great, but my favorite is the gyro poster with the Brooke Shields look-a-like model posing with an gyro.
Here’s Nabil with this week’s Saturday Night Take-Out meal.
Great to see him again and I’m very happy that Fedora’s is still alive and well!
You’re welcome.
Okay, we’re back at the MBIP World Headquarters Kitchen and Tasting Area and here’s tonight’s Saturday Night Take-Out dinner.
Before we start unwrapping tonight’s feast, let’s start off with…
A giganzo can of Budweiser! Cheers!
I got a bag of Miss Vickie’s Jalapeno Potato Chips and they were delicious! I had never heard of these before and they were a great start to tonight’s dinner.
I got an order of the pizza bread and it was so warm and satisfying.
I got a half order with extra cheese and as you can see there was a massive amount of melted cheese and the pizza sauce was tangy, zippy and delicious.
All the bread here is homemade and it’s the ultimate in comfort food!
I’ve had the pizza here and the Spicy Italian Sandwich, but I’ve never tried their gyros.
I got the Deluxe Gyro and it was so loaded with meat, onions and peppers that I couldn’t pick it up!
I ended up eating it with a knife and fork and it was so tasty!
The meat was tender, spicy and so flavorful. The grilled onions and peppers complimented it perfectly and the homemade pita bread was soft and bakery fresh.
This is definitely one of the best gyros I’ve ever had!
For dessert I got an order of the homemade Baklava.
It was sweet, flaky and the perfect ending to a wonderful dinner from Fedora’s.
It was great to see Nabil and I’m happy that Fedora’s is still open. Stop by and get something to eat here and let’s keep this local eatery in business!
Fedora’s is currently open for dine-in and take-out, Monday through Saturday.
