As I explained in this post back in 2014, Monical’s Pizza is one of the few chains I actually recommend. I really like their pizza and even though it’s a chain, it’s got its own unique design and look and they used to have a decorative tree in there.
The tree is now gone and that’s too bad, but let’s travel back in time when it was still there in those beautiful pre-pandemic times!
Oh Sherman…
Please set the Pizza Wayback Machine for September 30, 2014 and…
Baboom, here we are at Monical’s Pizza Restaurant.
We have special guests in this post, please welcome…
Bob and Clare!
We all met there and settled into this booth…
And Cameron was our pretty waitress who delivered us beer and…
A couple of tasty pre-pizza appetizers.
We got an order of chicken wings and Pepperollies, which are freshly-baked pepperoni rolls. They come with melted cheese and marinara sauce to top them off.
Both were very tasty and satisfying appetizers.
Here’s Cameron with our pizza orders!
We each got a separate personal pizza.
Bob got sausage and cheese and below that is Clare’s pizza which was mushroom and black olives.
I got the pizza that is this week’s featured Pizza of Peoria and here it is…
I got a double cheese and steak pizza.
I think that Monical’s may be the only place that has steak as a topping and this looks like one tasty pizza!
This pizza is so delicious, the crust is thin and crispy and the sauce is tasty and has just a little bit of sweetness coming through.
A delicious pizza pie.
Here’s the decorative tree, but sadly they took it down about a year ago.
Sob!
