It’s Black Friday and that means I’m going to crawl under my bed and stay far away from retail stores as I can! But having said that, I did decide to do a special Black Friday edition of The 8 Shops of Xmas series here on MBIP!
I went to one of my favorite Peoria stores, Acme Comics and chatted with owner Bob Gordon, who’s a personal friend of mine, I took photos and presented a lucky customer with a gift I purchased at Acme.

Here we are inside and I see a familiar face over there at the check-out desk.
It’s none other than Bob Gordon, the esteemed owner of Acme Comics! Great to see him again and he gave us the green light to wander around and take some photos in here during this holiday season!
So that’s exactly what we did!
Bob told me this was the only holiday decoration in the store and if you think that’s weird for this time of year, then you have no understanding of Acme Comics.
Every day is like a holiday in here, just look at the upcoming photos!
As you can see, the place is packed with inventory in here! There’s lot of things to see!
It’s Peoria’s largest retail outlet for new and used comic books.
