This week we’re heading over to The Pour House to sample their pizza. I went there back in 2014 and enjoyed the pizza I had, but that was seven years ago, which is unbelievable!
I really liked it back then, let’s see if the pizza pie is just as good seven years later!
Here we are at The Pour House and tonight we have a special guest star and a mystery guest star.
Let’s go in and you can meet one of them!
It’s nice and dark in here and there’s a neighborhood cozy bar atmosphere in here.
There’s Patrick behind the bar serving us up a couple of beers.
Now time to meet this week’s pizza guest star…
It’s my friend Bebe, who I hadn’t seen in quite a while! It was great to see her and I’m happy she joined me for this evening’s pizza pie party! We were joined by a mystery guest star who took this photo!
We placed our pizza order so let’s take a few shots of The Pour House while it cooks up in their kitchen.
Here’s a shot from the other end of the bar area and I met Ryan and Jason in my travels.
They’re a couple of nice guys and regulars in here and there’s Jason making a hole in one at the golf game up in the front of the bar. Nice shot Jason!
I took a photo of the gaming machines and saw a familiar face there, it’s my friend Luke who was hanging out and hoping to win at the machines!
It was great to see Luke again and catch up with him.
Luke works for Dac’s Smokehouse and he told me that they’re opening up a new restaurant in Morton soon, so I’ll be going there to check it out one of these Saturday nights. Stay tuned for that!
There’s state-of=the-art dartboards, dining tables and a TV in the back area of the bar. Along with a sign that stated the daily drink specials.
I love these lit-up whiskey bottles the line the wall in the front room.
When I returned to our table our appetizer order of pretzel bites had arrived.
Perfect timing. The tasty salted pretzel nuggets came with a stone-ground mustard dipping sauce and a zesty melted cheese sauce as well.
They were crispy on the outside and warm and fluffy on the inside.
A delicious start to this pizza dinner
Here’s Maddie delivering this week’s pizza pies.
They look spectacular!
Wow, the crust is thin and crispy, just how I like it and the sauce and cheese compliment each other in a tasty way.
This is really good pizza.
Every time I eat here I always think that is truly a hidden gem as far as bar food in Peoria goes. Simply delicious!
Here’s Bebe enjoying the pizza, she said she loved it!
After our saucy and cheesy dinner, Scott came over to our table to say hi.
I met Scott a couple years ago at the Taste of the Heights street party. It was great to see him again!
Scott’s a Marine Veteran and he was awarded this traveling medal of honor this year for his service.
He’ll be awarding it to the next worthy winner this year and it was cool of him to share it with us! Thanks for your service Scott and it was great to see you again! Happy early Veteran’s Day!
Now it’s time for this week’s pizza rating!
