Okay, I spent an entire year spotlighting sandwiches of Peoria and now it’s time we moved on to something new in this Saturday series. So I decided to spend some time highlighting some of the fine pizzas that we’ve got here in and around Peoria.
I spent a year showcasing pizza in and around this city and there’s other pizza posts from the past that we can feature in this new Saturday serieas.
So here we go with the debut post of this saucy series spotlighting the Pizzas of Peoria!f
Pizzas of Peoria - This Week: Agatucci’s
Here we are at Agatucci’s, my favorite Peoria pizza parlor!
Yikes, it’s snowing out here, so let’s get inside!
There’s the fourth generation family co-owners of Agatucci’s, Tony and Danny Agatucci.
Two of the friendliest and nicest guys in Peoria. Always a pleasure to see them and hang out with them!
Here’s Mike making the pizza from scratch and then sliding it into the Aggie’s oven.
Agatucci’s
Agatucci’s is Peoria’s oldest and best known pizza parlor. They’ve been in business on this corner since 1926.
Like all locally-owned businesses in this foul year of 2020, they’ve been suffering a bit, so stop by and dine in or get a pizza to take home from Agatucci’s and let’s keep this Peoria family-owned pizza restaurant alive.
The Pizza!
The pizza has arrived and it looks glorious!
Agatucci’s pizza is Peoria pizza.
It’s the same recipe that’s been handed down for over four generations and you should stop in or get a pizza to take home from here and keep this local business alive!
Plus it’s one of the friendliest places I’ve ever been in. It’s my honor to start this new MBIP pizza series by highlighting Agatucci’s Pizza!
