I wrote two posts about Sheridan Village and Bergner’s Department Store in 2013 and 2014.
Then, over two years ago I wrote a post announcing that the store was closing and took a tour of the area that used to be the Skandia restaurant.
Last May I started what would be a three part series on Bergner’s being, “demolished,” even though it wasn’t.
While I’m not happy that it’s finally gone, I do have a sense of relief that it’s finally all over.
Below are seven posts from the past dealing with Bergner’s and then there’s photos I took this week of the spot where Bergner’s was finally demolished.
So there.
This Is The Last Worthless Bergner’s Post That You’ll Have To Read!
Okay, It’s Finally Demolished, Now Let’s See What Goes Up In Its Place
I heard from several people that Bergner’s was finally demolished.
I went this week and took photos of the end of Bergner’s as we know it.
This is where the front of the building once stood in the center of Sheridan Village.
And here’s some shots of the back of the building. Bergner’s is officially gone and all that’s left is piles of bricks, wood and rubble.
So very 2020-like!
At least we have memories of this place and photos on the internet.
What will take its place?
Time will tell and Time is not only a magazine, it’s the great equalizer…or something like that.
So there.
