Live, from Peoria, Illinois it’s Saturday Night Frozen Pizza, starring Butch’s Three Meat Frozen Pizza!
Now please welcome, from the MBIP World Headquarters and Kitchen Tasting area, me, eating yet another frozen pizza while we’re all quarantined inside of our homes!
This week I saw a Butch’s Pizza that I have never tried, it’s their three meat special pizza with sausage, pepperoni and Canadian bacon. That sounded interesting and I realized I’ve never had a pizza with Canadian bacon on it, so I thought we’d sample this Butch’s frozen pizza pie tonight!
We’ll pre-heat the oven to 400 degrees and then…
We’ll unwrap the pizza and pop it into the oven. The instructions say to let it cook for about seventeen moments. So while we’re waiting for it to cook, let’s look at some Butch’s pizza posts from the past.
This is hard to believe, but just about ten years ago, Tim and Colleen Carey (Tim and his family own and operate Butch’s Pizza) came to New York and we went to Lombardi’s Pizza, the oldest pizza parlor in New York City. Check out that post by clicking here.
Back in 2013, I had moved back to Peoria and Tim Carey gave me a tour of Butch’s Pizza in Morton, Illinois. Here’s a link to that post.
Two years later we had a Butch’s Pizza Party at the Red Barn. Click here to join the party!
Alright, seventeen minutes have passed and the pizza has been successfully removed from the oven and plated! It looks delicious!
Now we’ll season the pizza up with some hot sauce, black pepper and some ground mustard. Last week I discovered that ground mustard adds some nice flavor to pizza!
Now we’ll cut it up and then let it cool for a while. I like my pizza at room temperature. While we’re letting it cool, we’ll watch a couple of Butch’s Pizza videos.
Ho, ho and ho!
Here’s an online review of Butch’s White Pizza which sadly I can’t eat this because garlic gives me heartburn. But it sounds and looks delicious!
Alright, the pizza has cooled down and now let’s sample this week’s Saturday Night Frozen Pizza!
Wow, this is one tasty frozen pizza! Usually I steer clear of meaty pizzas, because I prefer a plain cheese pizza, but this is the meaty exception to the rule!
I like the fact that they don’t overload the meat on the pizza and there’s just enough sausage, pepperoni and Canadian bacon to add a savory layer of flavor, but it’s not overwhelming.
When It comes to frozen pizza, Butch’s Pizza is King! All hail Butch’s Pizza!
