It all started with a facecrack post from MBIP Pal and Wheelman, Scott Turley, which is pictured below.
Shit, it looked like they were finally demolishing the Bergner’s building in Sheridan Village according to Scott’s post and picture. I thought I should stop by and take some pictures of this.
But I drive by Sheridan Village on my way to work every day and when I did drive by after seeing this, it was still there.
I thought that maybe Scott had somehow gotten this wrong and maybe had been smoking some strong pandemic wacky tobacky.
Then Phil Luciano wrote a column about going and stealing bricks from the rubble left over at the demolition of the Bergner’s building. Once again as I drove by the next day, I saw it standing tall in Sheridan Village.
Now I’m wondering if Phil and Scott are doing bong hits and making this shit up as they go along.
Here’s a link to a photo spread showcasing the rubble in the PJ Star by photographer Matt Dayhoff. But again, as I drive by every fucking day, it’s still there.
Am I in some sort of pandemic stupor?
Then I see this on the internet news: “Goodbye Bergner’s.”
Okay, let me show you something that is driving me fucking nuts amidst all of this Bergner’s is demolished and gone news…
Hello Bergner’s! What the fuck?
It doesn’t look demolished to me! I went and took this photo yesterday. What in the actual fuck is everyone talking about here?
Yeah, it looks like they’re working on taking it down, but this hardly looks demolished. Maybe the rubble and demolishing is happening in the back of the building. Let’s go check that out.
I mean with all of this hysteria there should be a pile of rubble somewhere!
But nooooo, here is the back of the building which in an Elton John moment in time, is still fucking standing!
What the fuck is everyone talking about?
Okay, there’s high voltage back here, but as far as I can see, it hasn’t been demolished yet.
Fuck! This is driving me crazy! Aaahhhh!
Fuck, I hate to quote this guy but it has to be done…you are…FAKE NEWS!
And, Amber, if you’re reading this, I thought you’d enjoy a shot of my parking skills that you’re so jealous of. (Inside joke alert and we’ll see you all tomorrow!)
