We continue our weekly tribute to Peoria’s Irish bars who took a hit by cancelling their yearly St. Patrick’s Day parties to help out with social distancing during this Covid-19 Pandemic.
Kelleher’s On Water opened up on Water Street in downtown Peoria in May of 2001. They’ve been a popular Irish Peoria bar ever since and they’ve got a nice beer, drink and Irish food selection.
Below are four posts from MBIP stops in the past at Kelleher’s and I’m looking forward to future visits when this shit is all over!
A Saturday Night Cheeseburger post from Kelleher’s way back in 2013. Hard to believe that was seven years ago!

I returned a year later and sampled this unique and tasty Irish sandwich, The Hangover.
It’s Irish sausage, bacon, cheese and a fried egg. I also got an order of crispy onion rings and this was a tasty and delicious dinner!

In 2016, I was doing my second chicken wing food tour and I sampled all three of their different chicken wings which consisted of Inferno, Guinness BBQ and Hot wings. They were spicy and a tasty winged treat!
I ran into Andrew from the Civic Center and the owner of Kelleher’s, Pat Sullivan on this evening and they’re pictured above.

On the Fourth of July in 2016, my friends Cassie and Tim got a four-course Peoria Riverfront meal from four different restaurants and bars on the Riverfront. The first stop was Kelleher’s where we enjoyed the first course, which was The Beef Bites which is a tasty appetizer.

Pat Sullivan recently took a tour of Peoria’s Irish bars via facecrack and of course one of the stops was at his nephew’s Irish Pub, W.E. Sullivan’s in the Heights.
