Live, from Peoria Illinois, it’s Saturday Night, starring me and a frozen pizza from the MBIP World Headquarters.
Now please welcome me all the way from Willow Knolls Drive at the MBIP World Headquarters Kitchen and Tasting Area!
This week’s frozen pizza I’m preparing is a Schnuck’s St. Louis Style Bacon & Sausage Pizza.
I didn’t know that St. Louis had their own style of pizza and I Googled it and found out that they did. Amazing the things you learn in a Corona quarantine!
I got the bacon and sausage St. Louis pizza and it also has five cheeses on it, very impressive!
There it is unwrapped, nice amount of sausage and bacon on the pie.
The baking instructions say to pre-heat the oven to 450 degrees. That’ll take a little bit of time…hmm…what should we do while it pre-heats?
Oh, I know, we’ll start drinking beer! Cheers!
Alright, the oven’s pre-heated and we’ll put the pizza in to bake.
The directions say to let it bake for around 10 to 12 minutes. While that’s happening, we’ll take a pizza video break!
Breaking Bad Pizza Video Break!
One of my favorite scenes from the Breaking Bad series was when Walt threw the pizza up on the roof of his garage. Here’s the original scene.
Here’s Brian Cranston and the crew giving backstage talk about doing the saucy scene.
This is a local news story about the house that it happened at.
CNN covered the story too.
Here’s a pizza comparison between Walter White and Tony Soprano.
We now return to our frozen pizza blog already in progress.
Alright, ten minutes have passed and the pizza looks like it’s ready to be spiced and served up. I took it out and added some hot sauce and black pepper to the pie.
Here’s this week’s St. Louis Styled Schnuck’s pizza pie. It looks and smells really good!
I’ve cut it up and now we’ll take a few minutes to let it cool. Hmm, what should we do while it cools?
Oh, I know, we’ll drink another beer!
Okay, the pizza is cool and let’s try it out.
Wow, this is really a tasty frozen pizza!
The crust is extremely thin and the sauce is tangy and slightly sweet. The bacon adds a savory flavor and the five cheeses deliver a creamy taste. An excellent frozen pizza pie!
