Live, from Peoria, Illinois, it’s Saturday Night starring this week’s host, Mad Hatter’s Pub with special guest stars, Kate, Aleka, P.J. and Josh.
Now please welcome this week’s host, Mad Hatter’s Pub!
Here we are at Mad Hatter’s Pub. I’m old enough to remember when this was Sy Maroon’s Hitching Post!
There’s a smoking area over to the left, but since I’ve quit smoking a couple year’s ago, we’ll go in through the double doors and start the Saturday night evening!
There’s the rectangular bar and I found myself a seat at the end of it.
Kate and Aleka were behind the bar and served me up an ice-cold Budweiser with two pretty smiles.
P.J. who’s the owner came over and posed for the MBIP camera as well, great to meet him!
Here’s another angle of the bar and as you can see, the Mad Hatter’s Pub logo is ingrained on the bar top. Very cool!
Some of the specials are on display here.
They have over a dozen beers on tap and after I took this photo I met Josh. He told me his girlfriend just opened a massage studio in Marquette Heights and I told him I’d put up a plug for it. And so here’s the plug: arnica massage studio.
In honor of the name, Mad Hatter’s, they have lots of photos of musicians in their mad hats.
There’s live music here on the weekends and this Saturday it was The Seth and Dan Show, two talented local musicians.
Every other Sunday they have an open mic stage for anyone who wants to jam.
Opposite the bar is a dining room with tables and booths to sit and enjoy yourself at the pub.
The back room features an ax throwing arcade. Here’s a couple guys trying their hands at throwing the axes back here.
Meanwhile, back at the bar, dinner is served and it looks delicious!
I started off with an order of the rainbow Cole slaw and it was crispy and tasty.
Next up I sampled the homemade Tater Tots. They were crispy on the outside and flaky on the inside. The sauce served with them was spicy and tangy and really added to the flavor.
For the main course I got the Ribeye sandwich and it was tender, succulent and so delicious! You can read more about it in the review below, but this is a real treat!
And for dessert, I had to try the Elvis Shot! It was a hunk-a-hunk of burnin’ love! A sweet ending to a great evening at Mad Hatter’s Pub on Farmington Road! Thank ya…thank ya very much!
I got the homemade Tater Tots and Rainbow Cole Slaw for starters and they were both delicious starters for my Saturday night meal.
The main course was the Ribeye Steak Sandwich and it was savory and so delicious! It’s served with grilled onions and mushrooms and the steak was tender, juicy and delicious and the bun was bakery fresh.
