Over four years ago I met friends at Michael’s Italian Feast in Germantown Hills. This is one of the more unique restaurants in the area and it was the 44th stop on the 52 week Pizza tour I was conducting back then.
I was meeting my friends John and De ingles from Smiley Graphix and they were bringing a surprise with them, their daughter Shannon whom I hadn’t seen she was a tiny baby over twenty years earlier!
Let’s go back in time to this momentous night…oh Sherman, can you help us out here?
Sherman, set the Wayback Machine for December 3, 2014…
And, baboom, here we are at Michael’s Italian Feast in Germantown Hills. Look how sparkly it is!
I went in and met the smiling face of Alex who took my pizza order.
As I walked in I saw some familiar faces in the dining room, it’s the Ingles family, whom I’ve been friends with for decades! From left, Shannon, De and John.
John and De are the heart and soul behind the local digital design agency, Smiley Graphix Studio. Smiley Graphix is a design agency that not only services and guides clients on the business/digital side of things, they also have a retail online shop with fun and innovative items for the public!
i once tried to get a homeless man to babysit Shannon in New York City…good times!
De designed the logo for Michael’s and she and John can help you out on many different digital and artistic levels! Check them out here.
I got to visit Matt back in the kitchen as he made our fresh pizza pie for the evening!
And here he is with the finished product! It looks amazing!
What a fantastic looking pizza!
This was such a tasty pizza pie! The crust is made fresh daily and it's thin, but not cracker thin and has a nice consistency to it.
We got bacon, ham, sausage and extra cheese for toppings and it's really a tasty pizza. The sauce is really flavorful and has a nice tasty zing to it!
