Okay, after a brief hiatus, we’re back with another P.T.M. (Pandemic Taco Monday) as we wait for this stupid pandemic to end so we can get back to a normal food tour.
This week’s tacos are from a Mexican restaurant I’ve never featured here on MBIP, Blue Margaritas Mexican Bar & Grill.
So let’s put on a face mask and head over and start this sixth week of pandemic taco eating!
Here we are at Blue Margaritas. Half of their sign appears to be out of commission, but that’s okay!
They have “To-Go Margarita’s” here if you want to take a little bit of Mexican magic home with you!
You pick up your to-go orders here at the front of the restaurant and I was told it would be a few minutes before my order was ready. They said to feel free to take a few photos while I waited, so let’s go click away!
There’s the tables and booths in the dining room. Note that the wooden booths have the Blue Margaritas logo embossed in them. Impressive!
There’s a bar up in the front of the dining room. I’ll have to come back here in post-pandemic times and have a drink!
Here’s Diana with this week’s taco to go order! Thanks, Diana!
And through the miracle of these here interwebs, here we are back at the MBIP World Headquarters Kitchen and Tasting area. Time to sample this taco extravaganza!
We got a complimentary bag of tortilla chips and salsa to start the meal off with. This was a savory and crunchy start to our taco dinner.
I got an appetizer order of the Fried Tempura Elote Bites.
These are bite-sized nuggets of deep-fried dough stuffed with charred corn, green onion and melted cheese. They were so delicious!
Blue Margaritas has two selections of tacos. the first is your standard hard or soft shell taco that you can get filled with ground beef or chicken.
I got mine stuffed with ground beef and hard shells and they were a spicy and tasty treat!
The second style is their Mexican Tacos, which are Mexican street-styled tacos and these were so delicious!
They come with soft warm tortillas and I got the steak filling.
The tacos also have onions and cilantro and I added a generous splash of their homemade hot sauce. These were so spicy, succulent and tasty!
They really hit the spot!
Both taco styles were delicious, but my favorite were…
The Mexican Tacos, they were so delicious!
And don’t forget to try the Tempura Fried Elote Bites for an appetizer!
