This post goes all the way back to when Kenny’s Westside Pub was located on Farmington Road. We were just five weeks into the MBIP Year Of Pizza Tour and the esteemed owner and operator of Kenny’s Westside Pub, Sean Kenny had agreed to make up a special pizza for myself and some friends.
Rather than talk about it, let’s go back in time and re-live it!
Oh Sherman, can you do your thing please?
Sherman, set the Wayback Machine for March 4, 2014 and we’re going back in time to…
Kenny’s Westside Pub, back when it was located on Farmington Road.
This was March and there was snow on the ground. Brrrr, let’s go inside!
I met my friends, Steve and Kathy for this saucy evening and my friend Clare showed up too!
This has the makings of a fun pizza party!
We started the evening off with an order of Kenny’s Prezel Bites.
These are so delicious but warning: They are also addictive!
The aforementioned owner and operator of Kenny’s Westside Pub, Sean Kenny was behind the bar, sporting an “I Heart Haddad’s” shirt!
Here’s Sean going to work and making our flatbread pizza pies for the evening.
He made a Margherita pizza in addition to the special Cheesy Marty Pizza I requested.
And boom, into the oven they go!
Here’s Sean delivering the delicious pizzas to our booth!
My Original Review:

The cheese pizza is so good. All six of the cheese really blend together well with the tomato sauce and the flat bread crust provides a really nice texture to the mix. This pizza is going to be an "off menu" item, so if you want to try it you need toto ask for the "Cheesy Marty Pizza," the perfect title for a cheesy pizza named after a cheesy guy!
The Margherita pizza is amazing as it always is in here. What a great pizza dinner! Thanks to Sean for accepting another food challenge and delivering some unbelievably tasty pizza pies!

Kenny’s Westside Pub is now located in downtown Peoria but they are still serving up these delicious flatbread pizzas! You should stop by and pick one or two up to go!
Thanks to Clare, Steve and Kathy for joining me on this fun evening over six years ago. And thanks to Sean for hosting the event and for the delicious pizza pies!
Pre-pandemic times, sigh!
