Another week, another Thursday Minute Marty Meal. Let’s see what we’re working with this week by taking a look at this week’s ingredients.
From left: Carrot sticks, A.1. Sauce, Steak-Umm sliced steaks, Uncle Ben’s Ready Four Cheese Rice, Kaukauna Cheese Spread, chopped green peppers and chopped onions.
All ingredients were purchased at the Schnucks on University Street.
As we melt a hunk of margarine in the pan, we simultaneously drink a giant can of Bud Light, that’s how it works here in the MBIP World Headquarters Kitchen and Tasting Area!
This is the onion base for the rice. I’m adding some Balsamic Vinegar salad dressing for a little taste, then the green onions go in, a little splash of Texas Pete’s hot sauce and lastly a handful of carrot sticks for color and crunch.
Next we’ll microwave the Uncle Ben’s cheesy rice and add it to the base mixture. To add to the richness we’ll then scoop in some of the Kaukauna cheese spread and let that melt in to the mixture. This will also thicken the rice and it tastes delicious just like this, but it’s only going to get tastier, keep on scrolling!
It’s just about Steak-umm time for first, another Beer-Umm.
Now it’s time for the Steak-umm magic! I love how these frozen pink sheets turn into delicious Steak-umm within seconds! I cooked the entire box, gave it a splash of A.1. Sauce and then added it to the rice mixture in the bowl.
By the way, I’ve had that bowl since I’ve been 19-years-old. It’s held a lot of mixtures!
The Steak-Umm rice mixture is now poured in to a baking pan and we’ll let it cook in a 475 pre-heated oven for about a half an hour or so.
I should now show you this giant spoon I bought to eat today’s Marty Meal with. It brings back memories of chatting on the phone with Moon Unit Zappa, which I had the pleasure of doing years ago. It’s a long story and it might just be incorporated into a Marty Monologues show sometime down the road. Stay tuned!
It’s time for this week’s Thursday Minute Marty Meal! The Steak-Umm rice mixture has cooked into a firm rice casserole. Let’s try it with the giant spoon!
It’s delicious!
And now…Women With Spoons!
I don’t have anything for dessert, but here’s a titillating photo montage of women with spoons for your gazing pleasure!
