In 2017, I went to the Lindenhof of Peoria and checked out their old-fashioned German Christmas Market and bar. I didn’t go last year because I was dealing with this.
Last Sunday was their tenth annual Christmas celebration, so I went over to check it out. Scroll on down for photos from my holiday visit to the Kristkindlmarkt at the Lindenhof of Peoria.
Here we are at the Lindenhof, the home of Peoria’s German-American Society.
They have vendors outside selling all kinds of unique Christmas items and food.
There’s the door to the inside event, let’s go in and see what’s happening!
Wow, as you can see, they have a big crowd here today!
That’s Wilana Vogel Donahue entertaining the crowd with her accordion.
They have lots of vendors here selling all kinds of Christmas-related items.
There’s everything from one-of-kind jewelry to Christmas ornaments to nuts and sweet treats from The Nut House.
Joe, the Art Guy was there doing caricatures. You can read more about him from this post we did on him from back in July of 2016.
After catching up with Joe, I ran into Kathi and Scott who just got married last October! Congratulations to the newlyweds!
There’s more vendors over on this side and that pretzel looks delicious!
Countdown to Oktoberfest! It’ll be here before you know it, fun flies when you’re having time!
The dining area was packed! I made my way to the bar and got a beer from this woman who was decked out in her holiday finest! Prost!
The back wall had a simulated fireplace, a nativity scene and German plates and beer steins in the display cabinets.
Merry Christmas and Fröhliche Weihnachten!
If you missed this Kristkindlmarkt, there’s another one happening on December 14th and 15th, check out the details here.
