Tanners Orchard is known for apples but there’s lots of other delicious reasons to make a visit to the iconic Peoria apple orchard. One of them is their grilled pot roast sandwich.

On a visit I took there over five years ago, I toured the orchard and had the pot roast sandwich for lunch and it was delicious!

I think this is maybe the only place in Peoria that serves up a grilled pot roast sandwich. And that’s why I’ve chosen it to be this week’s featured Sandwich of Peoria!

The Apple Bin Bakery is where you order your food and where I ordered this week’s Sandwich of Peoria and it’s pictured below.

The Pot Roast Sandwich is one of three grilled sandwiches that’s available at Tanners Orchard for lunch. It’s a sandwich with slices of tender and juicy pot roast, cheddar cheese, red onion, tomato and apple horseradish jam housed and grilled in sourdough bread.

It’s a flavorful and satisfying sandwich and you can only find this unique sandwich creation at Tanners Orchard at the Apple Bin Bakery and Cafe.

Lunch hours are from 11am to 2pm. Other lunch selections include the Tanner’s Turkey BLT, a Chili Cheese Onion Dog, Pulled Pork and a Chicken Salad Croissant.
