Live, from Peoria, Illinois, it’s Saturday Night, featuring this week’s host, Sky Harbor Steakhouse and starring Shannon Elizabeth Moore at the piano bar.
Now please welcome, this week’s host, all the way from West Peoria, Sky Harbor Steakhouse!
Here we are at this week’s Saturday night destination, Sky Harbor Steakhouse!
There’s the foyer in all of its stoned glory and greeting us at host station is Mrs. Klu and the owner of Sky Harbor, Daryl Klusendorf! Always a pleasure to see both of them!
I promptly got a seat at the bar and Michelle was the pretty bartender on duty and she served me up an ice-cold bottle of Budweiser.
Shortly after settling in, Beth came over and said hello. Beth and I met a few years ago and it was great to see her again. Reunited and it feels so good!
I ordered dinner and took a quick tour around Sky Harbor. I love the warm ambiance and retro feel of this place!
Meanwhile, back at the bar, dinner is just about to be served!
Usually these Saturday night posts revolve around the evening’s dinner, but tonight is going to be something a little different, so I just ordered a simple dinner of a chicken leg and some French fries. The dinner was good, but tonight’s main event happens opposite from the bar.
Tonight we’re going to enjoy the musical styling’s of Shannon Elizabeth Moore at the Sky Harbor’s piano bar!
Shannon has been a featured singer and musician here at Sky Harbor for the last few years.
Here’s a post from 2015 featuring Shannon at the piano bar here at Sky Harbor.
Well, tonight is the last night for a while that Shannon will be singing and tickling the ivories here at the piano bar. She’s moving to Chicago in a few days and so this is her send off night at Sky Harbor!
Shannon will be missed here in Peoria, but we’re all happy she’s moving on to a new and exciting chapter in her life!
Shannon is such a talented musician and vocalist and she always entertains everyone with her original songs and her unique and amazing arrangements on other people’s tunes.
After a couple sets, Daryl came up and performed a few duets with Shannon. They sounded beautiful together!
And then there were three! I always love it when Mrs. Klu joins in on the washboard!
All of a sudden Daryl transformed into Elton Klusendorf as he and Shannon sang a cover of “Your Song.”
Shannon’s last song of the night was her signature song, “You’re So Veiny.” It was the perfect closing number for a magnificent night of songs and fun!
As a parting gift, I gave Shannon a copy of Trivial Triva, The Idiot Edition. That game brought me a lot of luck so I’m hoping it’ll be a good luck charm for Shannon in the Windy City!
Thanks for a fun and wonderful musical evening, Shannon! You sounded amazing as always! Best of luck in Chicago!
