This week’s Peoria sandwich actually comes from Bartonville, Illinois, but that’s close enough to count.
Dave’s Pizza not only bakes delicious pizza pies, they also make an original and unbelievable sandwich called the Zilla. I went there on the 48th week of our year-long MBIP sandwich tour and sampled one.
Below are some photos of this delicious monster of a sandwich!
Here we are at Dave’s Pizza in Bartonville and there’s the menu. I got the half Zilla because the whole one is enough for an army!
Here’s the owner of Dave’s Pizza, Dave serving up the half Zilla.
Check out this amazing and unique sandwich. Inside the homemade bread that’s baked on the premises every day there’s ham, salami, mushrooms, onions, green peppers, spiced ground beef, cheddar cheese and it’s dressed with their zesty homemade pizza sauce.
This sandwich is literally bursting with flavor and there’s only one place to get it at and that’s Dave’s Pizza in Bartonville, Illinois!
