I’ve decided to start yet another new series here on MBIP on Thursdays. I’m calling it “Peoria After Dark” and I thought I’d drive somewhere at night and take some photos of a building or spot in Peoria at night time.
A funny thing happened on the way to the first post of this new series: I almost forgot to do it!
Yesterday I was somewhat discombobulated to say the least. I had just had three days off from work and had celebrated the New Year and it felt like Monday yesterday because I had to go back to work after a rare three day weekend. (I usually have Thursday and Sunday off, so it was odd to have three days off in a row and it kind of threw me for a loop.)
I had a bunch of stuff to do before work and then as I was getting ready to go home last night I realized I had nothing for today’s premiere Peoria After Dark post! I had completely forgotten about it and I was pretty tired, plus it was freezing out, so I thought I’d document my ride to Walgreens where I was going to get some green tea and beer.
Next week I’ll have a more memorable idea, but for now, here’s a slice of my night and Peoria After Dark, yesterday evening at 10:15 PM.
Peoria After Dark 10:15 PM: Driving To Walgreens
My route to Walgreens was Main Street to Sheridan to War Memorial. The Walgreens we’re going to is the one across from Northwoods Mall. That’s my nighttime Walgreens, I go to the one in Pioneer Park for my prescriptions and daytime needs. Yes, I’m in Walgreens quite a bit! I was happy with these photos of the drive there. I took them while driving and thought they would suck, but these five turned out pretty good, in my humble opinion!
Here we are at this week’s Peoria After Dark location, the Walgreens across from the Northwoods Mall.
As I walked in I saw shelves on one side filled with Christmas crap priced at 50% off. On the other side of the aisle...
Valentine’s crap, this shit never ends, there’s always some fucking holiday looming right around the corner waiting to suck the hard-earned money right out of your pockets.
This now concludes this week’s Peoria After Dark, we’ll see you all tomorrow!
