I’m taking today off from the blog because I have a doctor’s appointment in a little bit and then a dentist’s appointment. Also I’m working on a new Thursday series because it’s too cold out to do the Peoria After Dark thing. I think I’ll resume that in the spring and I’ll start the new idea next Thursday, so stay tuned for that.
This upcoming Monday is Martin Luther King Day and it’s also the 33rd anniversary of the day that Greg Owens and I were on The Today Show and got interviewed by Jane Pauley.
This was something that totally changed my life and while it was overwhelming at the time, I’m eternally grateful for it happening. I’ll probably write more about it on the actual anniversary on Monday, but I thought it would be something to put up today since I’m taking the day off.
So those of you who haven’t seen it, here’s me 33 years ago looking like I’m about 12-years-old with a sporty mullet along with Greg Owens being interviewed on The Today Show by Jane Pauley. We’re just about to become hometown heroes for about 15 minutes of Andy Warholian fame!
See you all tomorrow on Retro Photo Friday!
