Live from Peoria, Illinois, it’s Saturday Night Cheeseburger starring thiis week’s host, Rumberger’s Wings & More and featuring special guest stars, Devonte, Keke and Jailey. Now, please welcome this week’s host, Rumberger’s Wings & More!
Here we go up Main Street and this time the lights are on at Rumberger’s Wings & More! Looks like we won’t be shut out like last week!
As we go in we’re greeted with a “wait to be seated” sign. There’s a table up front here overlooking the side street and then Devonte showed up. I told him I was just going to sit at the bar and he waved me inside.
There were some open chairs towards the end of the bar so I snagged one and Keke brought me a bottle of Bud Light while flashing a nice smile. We’re off to a nice Saturday night here!
Rumberger’s is known for their tasty and large selection of chicken wings, but at this location they have a full menu, so I decided to go back to the roots of this Saturday series and I ordered the Rum Burger, which Keke recommended. While that’s being prepared, let’s take a look around in here.
There’s the back of the bar and the top of the bar itself is multi-colored and unique looking. The tables behind it have the same look and there’s booths behind those and another dining room to the right.
The main dining room is to the left of the bar and tables are lined up on the far wall with windows overlooking the people and traffic moving up and down Main Street. There’s tables in the middle of the room and some of the art on the walls include portraits of The Beatles, Prince and Marilyn Monroe.
The Rumberger’s logo hangs on the back wall and here’s a photo from the back of the main dining room.
Meanwhile, back at the bar, a dining ring complete with paper towels and condiments has been put in place and it looks like it’s about time for our Saturday night dinner to begin!
For the appetizer course I ordered the Rumberger Rinds which are deep-fried pork rinds that have been tossed in the dirty rub mix and they’re served with the house dipping sauce. They’re light, crunchy and spicy and a nice start for the dinner.
Now it’s time for the main course and this is Jailey serving up the Rumberger with a side of the Corn Bites. Before I tried the burger, I sampled the Corn Bites and they were crunchy on the outside and the inside was a creamy cheese and corn filling which was on the sweet side.
And then it was on to the main course, the Rum Burger! As you can see, it’s a huge cheeseburger and I got it with bacon. The bun was toasted and lightly buttered and in addition to the cheese it also has the house barbecue sauce. It was a tasty and satisfying cheeseburger!
Saturday Night Slideshow
Here’s a slideshow of the Saturday night cheeseburger, it was delicious and delightful!
I started off with the Rumberger Rinds which are pork rinds that they deep fry and then toss the rinds in the house-made dirty rub mix. They’re crunchy and spicy and served with the house barbecue dipping sauce. It was a tasty start to the dinner.
I had heard good things about the cheeseburger in here, so I ordered the Rum Burger with bacon and what I had heard turned out to be true. It was a delicious burger that was juicy, tasty and topped with fresh lettuce, American and Swiss cheese, crispy, smokey bacon and the house barbecue sauce. The bun was lightly toasted and buttered and it was a first-class cheeseburger.
For my side dish I got the Corn Bites and they were crispy on the outside and filled with a rich cheese and corn mixture that was somewhat sweet. It complimented the cheeseburger perfectly and this was a fantastic Saturday night meal.

Four Galloping Gourmets—I’ve had the chicken wings here and they are some of the best wings in town, but I discovered that Rumberger’s also has a delicious cheeseburger. There’s more items on the menu as well, so I’ll be back to sample those in the future!
