It’s hard to believe but in about a month it’s going to be the 50th anniversary of the release of The Beatles single, “Hey Jude.” That was such a ground-breaking song at the time and it flew to the top of the charts in August of 1968. Last evening I went to the final night of the Heart of Illinois Fair and got photos of the rides, the food, the games and a ZZ Top tribute band and that will be up tomorrow. Tuesday we continue the 13 month chicken tour at a place known for BBQ ribs, but I discovered they have wonderful BBQ chicken too! Wednesday is the Sixth Annual Scott Turley Birthday Bash and that’s taking place today! It’s at TNT’s in East Peoria and it starts at 2pm, so if you’re in the neighborhood, stop by and wish Scott a happy birthday and I’ll take a photo of you for the blog! Thursday will be another random person in Peoria and Friday will be photos from a Peoria Chiefs game. Then we’ll have Saturday Suggestions and then it’s back to Sunday Links as the MBIP wheel spins round and round! Okay, I have to get ready for Scott’s party, we’ll see you all tomorrow!
